You can view the block book maps in either Adobe PDF or JPEG image file formats.

You will need Adobe Reader© to view the PDF map images. If you do not have the Reader, you can download it from the Adobe website. The PDF maps should print on standard 8.5" x 11" paper.

The JPEG images are not consistent in physical dimensions, or in file size. The images average from 0.5 MB to 1.0 MB in downloaded file size. They may take a while to fully load in your browser. The JPEG images will appear very large in your browser and may require scrolling vertically and horizontally.

Because of the many different versions of web browsers, it is not possible to predict how a JPEG image will appear in your browser. Additionally, because of the many different versions of operating systems and image editing programs available, it is not possible to formulate specific guidelines for printing these images. Generally, to print the map, it is best to download the image to your computer, and then open the image using an image editor, such as Adobe Photoshop©, JASC Software’s Paint Shop Pro©, or Microsoft Photo Editor© (just to name a few). Once open, follow the instructions in your image editor to print your map. You can download the JPEG image by right-clicking on the image and

• in Microsft Internet Explorer, right-click the link and choose "Save picture as . . . "
• in Netscape Navigator, right-click the link and choose "Save image as . . . "
• after the file downloads, the browser will give you the opportunity to open the file with your default image editor.
